Cerritos College Cross Country (2012): Came in 66th place at the South Coast Conference Championships in a time of 22:24.41 and also placed 120th at the Mt. San Antonio Invitational with a time of 23:39… Posted a time of 28:43.9 at the Grand Canyon Invitational to finish in 80th place, while he came in 44th place at the Coast Classic Overflow with a time of 23:48.04… His time of 24:22 at the Palomar Invitational earned him a 45th place finish…..

South El Monte HS: Qualified for the CIF Prelims in cross country four years in a row… Voted his team’s Distance Runner of the Year and their Most Valuable Player as a senior… Named the team’s Most Improved Runner as a junior and sophomore, while he received the Coaches Award as a freshman… Also competed on the track and field team and specialized in the 800 meters (2:07), 1600 meters (4:35) and 3200 meters (10:20)…..

Personal: Most memorable moment was his performance at the CIF Prelims and the Bell Gardens Invitational during his senior season… His brother Jayson (20) is on the cross country and track and field teams at Cal State Fullerton… Has two sisters – Krystal (22) and Samantha (17)… Is the son of Jaime and Lupe Perez… Born in Bellflower, CA on June 19, 1994…..
